Dear Young Knights Mentors,

I would first like to thank those of you who attended club last week.

This week, we will be going to the park as a chance to build relationships with our mentees. Your attendance this week is vital because this week, we will be assigning our current mentors to mentees. Mentees will be appointed mentors based on their attendance. Here is the schedule for the day:

8:30 am - 9:00am: Mentor staff fellowship and training

9:00 am - 10:30 am: Breakfast with mentors

9:30 am - 11:00 am: Off-Campus event

11:00 am - 11:30 am: Drop off by Mr. Frank and Pastor James

Weekly Update to Young Knights’ Mentors from Pastor James Owolabi for Round Table Event at New Beginnings Church of Chicago. Round Table on September 30th 2017.

 

Dear Young Knights’ Mentors and Mothers,

We had an awesome time during our two different events last weekend - it was a blessing to that your sons could attend. We had over 16 boys in attendance, and three of our young men got to spend time with their mentors and work in their homes. It was a blessing to see them join their mentees and work with them. Thank you so much for being a blessing to the lives of our young men.

Mothers, thank you for making it a point to make sure that you boys do not miss a single Saturday. We are thrilled and excited about this coming Saturday. Please call Mr. Frank if your student needs  a ride.

Young Knights Mentors, you are encouraged to attend the first two Saturdays of October, but welcome to visit us this coming weekend. During Small Groups this week, students will be divided into two groups. 5th and 6th grade students will be encouraged to attend. Karl Clauson will be teaching this week. I am so excited about what God will teach us through him!

Schedule of the day:

• 8:00 am - 8:30 am……Doors Open with Pastor James and Staff
• Seogio Dixson, Vic Murray and Pastor James arrive campus
• 8:30 am - 8:50 am…...Weekly staff meeting and training
• The first and second Saturdays of the month are the only required Saturdays
• Mentors will arrive early to meet and pray with Young Knights staff
• Introductions of new mentors and trainings
• Mentees will arrive at 8:55 am
• 9:00 am - 9:15 am….Registration, introductions, and raffles
• Miss Harris will take attendance and make sure that our directories are updated
• High music energy playing
• Snacks and gifts for kids with visitors
• 9:15 am - 9:35 am....Lesson by Karl Clauson
• 9:45 am - 9:45 am…..Break Time
• 9:45 am - 10:20 am…..Breakfast and small group time with Young Knights
• Students will be divided into  small groups by their grades for discussions
• 6th and 7th graders with Ackee and Sergio Dixson
• 5th and 6th graders with Vic Murray and Akee
• 10:20 am - 10:30 am…Round Table ends
• 10:30 am - 11:30 am………After-Club Vibe
• Pastor James will spend a brief time with mentors
• Young Knights staff will take students outside to play games on the basketball court
  
• Students will compete in games by grades
• 11:30 am - 12:30 pm…….Drop offs
