Philippians 2:13 (NIV)  for it is God ( NOT U!!!!!) who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

1. God is crazy about you to ignore the "crap" in your life.
2. He has too many crazy plans for you to let you destroy your life OR YOUR FAMILY.
3. God will work in you. It will hurt!!!!!

• LET HIM DO IT!!!stop trying to fix your heart. Let God wreck you!!!
• God has to work in you so he can work through you.

Attention Christian Leaders "16 Insights from Ronnie Floyds Book on Pastoral Leadership "10 Things Every Minister Needs to Know"

I recently completed Pastor Ronnie Floyd’s Book on Pastoral Leadership titled “10 Things Every Minister Needs to Know”. I recommend this book for any individual who has a pastoral heart.  Here are 16 of the many insights I gleaned from this book:

1. Jesus has called us to be servant leaders not selfish leaders.  Jesus has called us to be willing to lay down our lives down not to take our lives up. We are called to sacrifice and death, not rights and declarations
2.  Best is determined by what is biblical and long-term, not what is personal and short tern. Refuse to let the pressure of other or the delicate nature of the situation drive you away from what is best for the church
3. Silo thinking is when you contain your thinking in a particular cylinder of ministry.
4. Silo thinking on a church staff team is detrimental. Silo thinking by various ministries cannot be permitted to exist. Silo thinking will eventually create division and strife.
5. A pastor is not a president, and you cannot compare the office of the pastor with the office of the president. One is a governmental office while the other is a spiritual office.
6. When you run fast in life, it is easy to outrun the people you are called to serve and lead. I have chased innovation down many roads even to the expense of sound judgment and theology.
7. Passion that is unrestrained leads to extremes.
8. The Only way for anyone to ever meet God is for them to personally embrace what Jesus did for them, trusting in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of their sins.
9. When you blend poor theology with pseudo-spirituality of our day, the end result will be an impotent church.

10. Practice orthodoxy packaged in Innovation.

11. When a minister is head strong about “his way of doing church” and it become “the only way”, he develops arrogance. Arrogance puts the entire church in jeopardy.

12.No one can stop the hand of God from working in your life.

13.Wisdom is critical in all decision making.

14.God wants you to be willing to do anything, anywhere, at anytime.

15. People do not follow unclear or uncertain leaders.

16. God knows what is best for you 24/7, every day of your life and ministry. Remember He designed you. Do not forget that.
